Interviews can be tough, especially if you’re new to the job market or haven’t done one in a while. Part of the problem is that you can never be sure about what the interviewer is looking for. You can be qualified for a position but still fail at the interview. This next tactic will double your chances of success.
Knowing yourself is over half the battle
The interviewer is there to ask questions about you. The good news is that no one is more qualified to talk about you than you are. The only problem is that sometimes an interviewer can trip someone up by asking a question they weren’t expecting. The best way to combat this is to rehearse questions with yourself. Really try to challenge yourself by asking the toughest questions you can think of. If you can prepare answers for the toughest questions you can imagine then you’re well equipped for any interview.
